Employee Is Caught in Machinery, Amputates Hand

Employee #1 was attempting to remove scrap from the side of a coil transfer mechanical press (a Danly Number 29 press). The press ran continuously without adequate guarding. Employee #1 smashed and amputated his right index finger and right middle finger and was hospitalized.
