Employee Loses Control of Forklift, Sustains Fractured Ankle

Employee #1, a temporary worker, was assisting the miller at a flour milling process by operating a stand-up Raymond forklift. Employee #1 was traveling in reverse from one room into another, over-corrected during a turn, and lost control of the lift. As the lift was about to strike a wall, Employee #1 attempted to jump off the lift, and was subsequently trapped between the rear of the lift and the wall. Employee #1 fractured his left ankle and was hospitalized.
