Employee's arm fractured in fall from roof of condominium

At approximately 3:25 p.m. on November 9, 2007, Employee #1 was shingling a roof at a condominium project in Aptos, CA, when he rolled off the roof and fell 18 ft 4 in. to a patio at the rear of the building. He suffered a fractured arm. A coworker who saw him fall descended from the roof and offered assistance and called 911. Emergency Services arrived 10 to 15 minutes later and transported Employee #1 to a local hospital, where his arm was put in a cast; he was sent home several hous later. Neither the coworker who witnessed the accident nor Employee #1 knew what caused him to fall.
