Employee Amputates Fingertip in Edgebander Machine

At approximately 2:30 p.m. on July 13, 2007, Employee #1 was inspecting an edgebander machine in operation. Employee #1 noticed debris on a moving copy wheel, and he reached in to remove the material. His right index finger was caught by a cutting head of the router, and his finger tip was amputated. Employee #1 was transported to Kaiser Hospital for treatment and was released the same day.
