Investigation Summary
At approximately 4:15 p.m. on October 11, 2007, an employee approached a vehicle parked in maintenance area to check for truck air leak. While he was in front of the rear tires examining the air leak, the driver inside the truck not aware of his presence, drove the truck forward and knocked the employee down, pinning him on the ground, resulting in pelvis fracture and internal injuries. A forklift was used to lift the truck and free the employee under the wheels. He was flown to Valley Medical Center in San Jose, CA., where he was hospitalized and treated for his injuries.
