Employee Falls, Hits His Head on Trailer, Dies

At approximately 9:50 a.m. on May 1, 2009, Employee #1, the warehouse manager and a coworker were unloading merchandise from a trailer by hand. Employee #1 stood on top of two boxes containing bandanas in order to reach for boxes at a higher level. Employee #1 lost balance and fell backwards inside the trailer, fracturing his skull on the floor. Employee #1 suffered a severe head injury and was transported to South Shore Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at approximately 2:05 pm.
