Maintenance Worker Falls from Ladder, Injures Feet

On October 12, 2009, Employee #1, a maintenance worker for a general construction contractor, was cleaning windows, using a ladder, in a newly built house on a construction site. He fell from an extension ladder (approximately 7 ft long) onto his feet. Both feet were severely bruised. He was assisted by employees of the general contractor at the construction site while awaiting arrival of emergency medical services. Employee #1 was transported by ambulance by the San Ramon Fire Department emergency medical service to the San Ramon Regional Medical Center, where he was hospitalized for treatment of both injured feet.
