Employee Falls from Roof, Fractures Ribs and Other Bones

At approximately 1:50 p.m. on May 8, 2009, Employee #1 was working on a 9-ft high 3-to-12 pitch roof where he was handing roofing shingles to a coworker. Employee #1 collapsed, rolled off the roof and fell a distance of approximately 9 ft, hitting the ground. Employee # 1 sustained broken bones and ribs as well as severe head trauma. Employee #1 was hospitalized.
