Employee Fractures Back in Fall from Scaffold

At 12:10 p.m. on March 26, 2009, Employee #1 was working at a construction site from a 3 foot rolling aluminum scaffold to install ceiling hanger wires in a 9 foot ceiling for the installation of acoustical tiles. The scaffold's base measured 2.5 feet by 6 feet. As employee #1 was installing the ceiling hangers, he stepped backwards and lost his balance, causing him to fall from the scaffold and fracture his back.
