Employee Dies from Pre-Existing Condition

On April 13, 2008, Employee #1, an employee of Contra Costa Water District, was performing an environmental survey. He was driving an All-Terrain vehicle. For some reason, Employee #1 failed to respond to three check-in calls from the dispatcher. According to reports, a search was conducted and Employee #1 was found 20 ft. behind the All-Terrain vehicle in the north end of the Los Vaqueros Watershed. The coroner's report indicates the death was caused by a preexisting medical condition.
