Employee killed in fall while building roof of gazebo

At approximately 10:30 a.m. on January 23, 2008, Employee #1 was fabricating the roof on a gazebo under construction at a private residence in Vacaville, CA. As he was working, he apparently slipped on the rain-slicked lumber and fell approximately 8 ft, striking the back of his head on concrete slab as he landed. Employee #1 was transported by helicopter to the UC-Davis Medical Center, where he died that same day.
