Employee Amputates Fingertip When Caught Between Steel Tubes

An employee sustained right middle fingertip amputation injuries when the finger was pinched between two 40 ft. long steel tubes and a steel rack during offloading of the tubes with the overhead crane. The employee was treated and released the same day inasmuch as the fingertip could not be reattached.
