Investigation Summary
On January 30, 2009, Employee #1, of Bay Cities Painters & Decorators, Inc., was painting the interior of a vacant office. He was standing on the sill of a large bay window to paint. While getting down from the window sill, he stepped onto and through a nearby heater vent and lost his balance. Employee #1 fell to the floor with his foot stuck in the heater. He was hospitalized and treated for a fractured right tibia and fibula.
