Event: 08/28/2008
Employee Is Killed in Fall Through Skylight

At approximately 1:30 p.m. on August 28, 2008, an employee was applying sealant and caulking around the 4-ft by 8-ft skylight located on the roof of the building, to stop water from leaking though the skylight. The employee had just finished caulking and sealing around the skylight and decided to take a ten minute break. The employee sat down in close proximity to the skylight taking a break. As he finished his break, the employee started to stand up and stepped onto the skylight causing the plexi-glass to cave-in with employee falling approximately 20 feet to ground level.
