Investigation Summary
On July 29, 2008, Employee #1, an agricultural laborer, was working behind a cantaloupe harvester, harvesting melons. He went to the front side of the machine and was attempting to climb onto the harvester, when he slipped or tripped on a melon and fell to the ground in the path of the tire. The harvester's tire struck his lower right extremity, fracturing his leg. Employee #1 was hospitalized.
