Employee Is Hospitalized with Heat Exhaustion

At approximately 12:00 a.m. on August 29, 2007, Employee #1, a heavy mobile equipment repair technician, was performing maintenance survey of equipment from an air conditioned utility truck. After two hours he returned to the shop and drank several glasses of water. He retrieved a loader to repair, and then informed the maintenance coordinator he was feeling ill and stressed. The maintenance coordinator noticed Employee #1 looked flushed and invoked emergency procedures.
