Investigation Summary
On January 26, 2008, a retired handyman was employed by a landlord to paint the trim of a rental unit. He began work approximately 3:00 p.m. The house tenant found the handyman dead in the swimming pool at the back of the house at approximately 7:15 p.m. The medical examiner's office determined the cause of death to be accidental drowning. The investigation concluded that there was no employer/employee relationship.
