Investigation Summary
At 3:04 p.m. on December 19, 2007, Employee #1 was performing traffic control for a tree trimming project. Three other workers were trimming the branches of a sycamore tree. While bending to pull branches to the side of the road, a 25 lb branch fell and struck his head. Employee #1 was transported to Scripps Hospital and then transferred to Encinitas Hospital, where he was admitted for a fractured neck.
