Employee cuts thumb with saw blade

On or about November 8, 2007 at approximately 7:45 Employee # 1 was in the process of using a Double Alpine saw jig while attempting to trim a piece of 12-inch x 1 1/2-inch x 1-inch piece of pinewood, when his right hand struck the blade while he held it against the saw blade. He amputated his right thumb down to the palm.
