Employee Suffers Concussion When Struck by Lumber

At approximately 8:30 a.m. on July 26, 2007, Employee #1, a millwright, had been assisting in clearing a jam on the out-feed conveyor from the planer. Employee #1 was found face down and apparently not breathing. Employee #1 had suffered a blow to the head resulting in a concussion. Employee #1 most likely was hit with an eight foot long 4-in. by 4-in. piece of lumber. Employee #1 was hospitalized.
