Truck Driver Is Killed When Crushed Against Wall by Trailer

At approximately 3:56 p.m. on January 26, 2007, Employee #1 was working an independent truck driver. He was at a waste management facility in San Jose, CA, to load recycled textiles onto his truck. His truck has axles for a traveling trailer. It was parked on an inclined ramp. As Employee #1 was adjusting the axles, the trailer slid, crushing his abdomen against the loading dock. He was pronounced dead by San Jose Fire Department paramedics at 4:02 p.m.
