Employee Is Injured When Crushe by Rolling Cabinet

At approximately 10:55 a.m. on March 31, 2008, Employee #1, a teacher, was moving a heavy rolling cabinet that contained books and supplies. She lost control of the cabinet and her footing. Employee #1 fell off the sidewalk, where she had been walking, and the cabinet fell on top of her. Emergency services were contacted and, upon their arrival, Employee #1 was taken to Loma Linda University Medical Center, where she was hospitalized and underwent emergency surgery due to suffering a fractured hip and femur, as well as dislocated shoulder.
