Employee Fractures Leg When Cart Tips Over

A security guard for an egg-processing company was in a loading dock helping another employee move carts loaded with eggs off of a truck. The floor of the dock was wet from rain. When the security guard moved a full cart by himself, he slipped, and the cart fell on his right leg. The injured employee was treated at a hospital and released. The next day, the employee experienced increased the pain in the leg and went to an outpatient clinic for evaluation. The clinic referred him to a hospital where he was admitted for surgery on his leg. He was hospitalized for 4 days.
