Employee's Foot Crushed by Lift Truck

At around 9:15 a.m. on Tuesday, June 19, 2007, a 23-year-old Operator/Material Handler, a regular full-time employee of Creative Touch Interiors, Temecula, California, suffered a serious workplace injury. The employee was guiding granite slabs that were being moved by a Toyota lift truck into a storage rack when his right foot was run over. Coworkers came to his aid. Paramedics responded and took the injured employee to the Rancho Springs Medical Center, Murrieta, California, where he was evaluated, admitted for surgery and hospitalized for 3 days. The medical report stated that the employee sustained crushing injuries to several bones in his right foot.
