Employee Injures Back When He Falls Out of Tree

At approximately 11:45 on May 16, 2007, Employee #1, a tree trimmer, fell out of a tree that he was climbing. He landed on his back on the dirt. Paramedics were called and upon arrival, stabilized the injured employee. He was then air evacuated to the Riverside County Regional Medical Center, where he was admitted. It was determined that he required spinal fusion surgery and he was transferred to a rehabilitation center for a lengthy physical therapy program.
