Employee Fractures Leg When Struck by Forklift

At approximately 8:00 p.m. on February 22, 2007, Employee #1 was assisting a forklift operator mechanically moving two slabs of granite. The slabs of granite were suspended from a gravity clamp that was attached to a boom attachment. Employee #1 was walking along the side of the lift when he stepped into the path of the moving forklift. Employee #1 sustained multiple fractures to his left foot when the forklift ran over his foot. Employee #1 was hospitalized for approximately 8 days.
