Employee's Leg Is Amputated in Unguarded Auger
On October 24, 2007, Employee #1, a seasonal line operator-receiving area helper, was sanitizing machinery. He stepped into a floor auger whose grating had been removed earlier in the shift and not replaced. He suffered an amputation of the left leg below the knee and was hospitalized.
