Event: 02/11/2007
Employee Falls from Scaffold, Later Dies

On February 11, 2007, an employee was working as brick mason assistance transporting cement from a large container to the brick mason mortar board when he stepped on a loose board being used as part of a floor of a Morgan scaffold. The board was too short for the area it was being used, causing the board to slip and allowing the employee to fall approximately 22 feet to the ground below. The employee suffered severe head injury and was placed on life support at a local hospital. The employee remained on life support for approximately 5 days. The life support was removed and the employee died on February 16.
