Employee Loses Four Fingers in Tender Machine Accident

At 8:40 a.m. on July 18, 2008, Employee #1 was feeding dyed fabric into a tender machine to remove out excess water. Employee #1 inadvertently came in contact with the in running rollers while adjusting fabric, as it was passing through in running rollers, to unjam the tentor frame machine. Employee #1 suffered crushing injuries resulting in the amputation of his 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th fingers on his right hand. Employee #1 was transported to USC Medical Center and treated for his injuries.
