Employee's Hip Fractured in Slip and Fall

On May 4, 2007, Employee #1, a teacher at a middle school, slipped in a hallway. According to witness statements, a group of students had a water fight using water bottles, and one student had been observed spewing water from the mouth at the classmates. About one minute later, Employee #1 came out of a classroom, walked down the hall, and slipped on water on the floor (from the water fight). She could not get up under her own power after the fall and was taken to Arcadia Hospital. She sustained multiple fractures to the hip and required hospitalization with medical treatment.
