Employee's Leg Is Injured When Pinned Under Wheel of Truck

On January 20, 2007, Employee #1 was preparing his truck to make a compressed gas delivery. He opened the driver's side door from the ground attempting to turn on the radio when he inadvertently started the truck. The truck is a cab-over manufactured by Hino with a manual transmission. The truck jerked forward, rolling over his left leg stopping at his knee. It was determined the transmission was left in first gear by the last driver. Employee #1 fell to the ground and called for help as his left leg was pinned under the front tire. Employee #1 was hospitalized.
