Employee Is Killed When Mobile Home Collapses

On June 18, 2008, an employee was working on mobile home. After checking positions of other 12-ton bottle jacks placed 10-ft from the ends of the mobile home to ensure that they were properly placed under the steel supporting I-beams, he returned to fourth jack that was located near the NE corner of the mobile home. He apparently was making the final adjustment before lowering the home on the jacks when the home had shifted causing the jack to kick out. The home fell on him. The employee was killed because of internal injuries and possible broken neck.
