Employee Is Killed in Fall When Knocked from Scaffold

Employee #1 was working inside the garage of a new residential home under construction. The garage doors had already been installed and were closed. Employee #1 was working from a fabricated frame scaffold at a height of approximately 77.5 inches when someone apparently began to open the garage door. Employee #1 appeared to realize what was happening and was trying to get down from the scaffold when the garage door was opened. Employee #1 was knocked off the scaffold and fell onto the concrete floor. Employee #1 died of injuries sustained in the accident.
