Employee Amputates Finger in Machine

At approximately 11:30 p.m. on June 6, 2007, an employee was called into fix a sealant pump. The employee locked out the pump and began work. The pump then cycled. The employee was aware the pump needed maintenance. During the maintenance process, the employee caught his right ring and middle finger in the pump. The employee's finger was amputated, but he was not hospitalized.
