Investigation Summary
On January 17, 2007, the second roll on Rotary Number 63 was in the middle of the winder bar. Employee #1 was pushing the roll back in place with her left hand when another employee started the machine. Employee #1's thumb was caught between the winder bar and the roll. Employee #1 suffered an amputation to the first knuckle on the left hand. Employee #1 was treated but was not hospitalized.
