Employee Dies after Falling from Ladder

On August 12, 2006, Employee #1 was descending a ladder after removing bolts from a commercial trailer door. When his right foot slipped, he fell approximately 6 ft and his head struck the concrete floor. A security camera recorded Employee #1 holding his head in his hands, standing up, and moving out of camera range. A coworker found Employee #1 on the floor approximately 4 minutes after his initial fall. He was transported to Cape Fear Medical Center, where he died on August 14, 2006.
