Employee Suffers Head Trauma and Dies Falling from Club Car

On December 4, 2007, Employee #1 and a coworker were in a golf cart called a Club Car. They were driving in a car dealership parking lot trying to locate a car to drive to the service department. Employee #1 was sitting in the passenger seat, as the coworker was driving the club car. They stopped at a dead end of a parking lane. The coworker reversed the club car, and while it was reversing, he began a three-point turn of the vehicle. Employee #1 was not holding onto the handle within the club car, and fell from the passenger seat onto the parking lot pavement. Employee #1 struck his head, and was transported to a local hospital where later died on December 18, 2007 from his injuries. Employee #1's cause of death was caused by blunt force craniocerebral trauma. His injuries included skull fractures and contusions.
