Employee Suffers Chest Pains at Work

At approximately 9:30 a.m. on June 19, 2008, an employee, a substation analyst, was working at a substation monitoring station. According to the employee, he had a history of heartburn with chest pains. He had experienced pain the night before, and when he arrived at work, he called his doctor in attempt to arrange an appointment. Through conversation with scheduling nurse, the employee was requested to go to emergency for evaluation. The employee informed his employer and transported himself to the hospital. He was in the hospital from 12:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and was not admitted. There is no indication that this was a work related illness. The employee was back at work.
