Investigation Summary
At approximately 630 a.m. an employee was working at or around the building roof's center purlin when he slipped and free fell approximately 20 feet towards lower level and hit the lower level's wall bracing. The foreman responded to the accident and notified the L.A. County fire department. The L. A. County paramedics responded to the accident, stabilized the employee and transported the employee to Harbor UCLA Medical Center. At Harbor UCLA Medical Center, the employee was admitted to hospital and treated for a head injury which included hemorrhaging, broken ribs and a separated shoulder.
