Employee Fractures Hand When Caught in Machine

At approximately 12:15 a.m. on November 27, 2006, Employee #1, a set-up operator, was adjusting the Line Number 3 trimming machine (Hess Engineering, Number 1388-L, Model Number 20/12 - 8/12 20 PR CLETP, Hydraulic operated.) Employee #1 was attempting to adjust the machine during the break. Employee #1's helper accidentally switched on the machine while Employee #1's hand was inside the point of operation area trying to place a block to stop the machine. Employee #1 suffered a broken right hand. Employee #1 was hospitalized.
