Employee Is Injured in Fall from Loading Dock

At approximately 10:45 p.m. on May 25, 2006, Employee #1 was standing on the right side of a loading dock, giving hand signals to a truck driver. When the truck backed up to the loading dock bumpers, Employee #1 observed boxes starting to fall out of the trailer. He was attempting to step inside the trailer to prevent the boxes from falling, when the driver unexpectedly pulled forward. Employee #1 was injured when he fell between the loading dock and trailer, and struck the concrete surface approximately 42 in. below. He was hospitalized for unspecified fractures.
