Employee Is Struck and Killed by Vehicle

Employee #1 was standing at the rear of the company vehicle with a shovel getting asphalt materials to fill pot holes in the roadway surface when he was struck by a car that swerved from the middle eastbound lane of the highway onto the shoulder. Employee #1 and the company vehicle were off the roadway on the shoulder area when struck by the car. Employee #1 was killed.
