Roofer Is Injured in Fall

At approximately 4:30 p.m. on February 21, 2006, Employee #1, his employer, and a coworker finished applying silver-colored fiber roof coating to a residence. The employer and coworker heard Employee #1 yell from across the peak of the roof. As the coworker approached the top of the roof, he realized that Employee #1 had fallen off the roof. Employee #1 fell approximately 30 feet from the roof to a concrete sidewalk, hitting a metal stair railing as he fell. Employee #1 was admitted to Maryland Shock Trauma Unit for treatment of multiple fractures of his skull and left arm.
