Employee Falls from Roof and Fractures Leg

On June 4, 2007, Employee #1 was sheeting a roof on an 80-ft by 225-ft wooden structure without the use of a guardrail system, safety net system, personal fall arrest system, or other alternative means of fall protection. The weather was dry and the working surface was dry. Employee #1 fell approximately 19 ft onto a stone and gravel surface. Employee #1 sustained a broken leg from the fall and was hospitalized.
