Employee Dies after Falling Onto Concrete

At approximately 11:00 a.m. on April 16, 2007, Employee #1 was standing at his work station at a CNC lumber cutting machine waiting for a job to change over. A few minutes later, the employee was discovered lying on the concrete floor by a coworker. The floor was dry and lightly coated with fine saw dust. No witnesses observed the employee falling to the floor or what precipitated the fall. Employee was transported to the Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater, Ohio, and subsequently transported by helicopter to Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton, Ohio. Employee #1 died at 1:00 a.m. on April 17, 2007. Cororner's report indicated that the death was due to blunt force trauma to the head.
