Employee Amputates Finger While Using Rotary Press

At approximately 9:35 a.m. on January 23, 2007, Employee #1 was operating a 10-in. rotary press. Employee #1 was removing a defective product from the rotary press when his right index finger was caught in the machine, resulting in the amputation of the finger. Employee #1 was treated for his injury but was not hospitalized.
