Employee Dies after Being Backed over by Tractor

On October 4, 2005, Employee #1 and a coworker were filling sewer trenches at a housing development. Employee #1 was operating a tractor equipped with a Gannon box (used for grading), and the coworker, a laborer, was tamping and spraying water for dust control. For some reason, the laborer started operating the tractor. He backed over Employee #1. Employee #1 sustained multiple contusions, and he died on October 21, 2005, of injuries he sustained in the accident.
