Employee Dies in Fall from Third Floor Window

On September 22, 2005, an employee was installing windows in the third floor rear bedroom. The employee was sitting on the exterior ledge of the rear window. He had his upper body outside the window; his feet were inside the rear bedroom window. The employee was holding onto a suction cup with his left hand while trying to hammer the outer window frame with his right hand. The suction cup broke loose and slipped off the window, he fell backwards approximately 27 ft to the ground. The employee was transported to Fairfax Hospital and was pronounced dead on arrival.
