Investigation Summary
Employee #1 was elevated approximately seven feet off the ground by a coworker, operating an industrial truck, to clean the sides of an almond trailer. Employee #1 was standing on a 42-inch by 41-inch wooden pallet and was using a pressure washer to spray the trailer and then a broom to clean the sides of the trailer. While using the broom, he slipped and fell off of the pallet onto the ground. He struck his face and head on the ground. He was transported to Enloe Hospital, where he was hospitalized for three days.
