Employee Is Injured in Slip and Fall Accident

On October 6, 2008, an employee was conducting a physical inventory of laptop computers. She had placed several laptop computers on the bottom shelf and top shelf of a two shelf, four-wheeled hardware cart. Some of the laptop computers were in cases that had straps. The employee turned towards her left to walk towards a cabinet where the laptops had previously been located when her right foot was caught in a shoulder strap of one of the cases. She tripped and fell on her right knee. Her left knee hit a concrete column. The employee fractured her right femur, which required surgery and hospitalization.
